Isabel Geffner Fund for Boomerang Youth
In 2005, Isabel saw a critical gap in services, recognizing that youth in our community who are suspended needed a place to go that would bridge their time with meaningful services and supports. Along with other community leaders, she was instrumental in the founding of Boomerang, first as a program of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA in 2006, and then as a founding board member of Boomerang Youth, Inc.
Her “dream of a little house” for young people to find support and connection became a reality when Boomerang was established as a non-profit organization in 2016.
About the Fund
Thriving children and youth are key to all strong and successful communities. The purpose of the Fund is to improve life outcomes for vulnerable students by helping them define their strengths, improve their self-esteem, and build a sense of hope for their future. The Fund will allow Boomerang to provide critical follow-up support to suspended students once they return to school, helping them stay on-track for the school year.

Recurring Gifts
Boomerang welcomes your gift through a pledge — whether it be one year or multiple years. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time. Simply make an online donation and chose the recurring gift option or mail in the Donation Form.
